Glossy papers |

| There
is some irritation amongst collectors wether glossy papers were used
before 1945 or not.
They WERE DEFINATELY used. Trust me. Glossy papers were often used by Press-Photographers and Propaganda units. The reason is quite simple. To make a glossy paper look good, it needs a bit more experience and technical equipment. The photo must be put on a special heater to make it more dry in a shorter time. Many private photographers did not have the right equipment at that time and the papers were more expensive and also more sensitive. |

This is an example of a photo on glossy paper, however the glossy effect is not visible on computer screens. |
